About two weeks ago, I got a call asking if I’d be interested in helping the Skokie Police Department do a lip sync challenge. My first thought was, “What’s a lip sync challenge?” (confession time: I’m not a social media junkie). But, I love being a part of the Skokie community and it sounded like fun, so why not? Little did I know it would turn into this week’s internet sensation!
At first I couldn’t believe how many songs they wanted to include, but it ended up being such a unique and interesting way to make the video stand out. Plus, as it turns out, there is some serious talent for music and dance in the Skokie PD!
It took a little coaxing, but everyone did such a great job “owning” their performance – even if a few struggled with which left was their left!
Thank you to Carolina Silva for her excellent videography and editing. Thank you to the Skokie PD for letting me be involved. It was a lot of fun!
I hope everyone enjoyed the video and just think, if we can make police officers look that good, imagine what we can do for your 6 year old!
